From new clients to news coverage, it’s a no-brainer that being involved with your community is a great way to boost small business growth.  But what’s the best way to give back – and make sure everybody wins?

Awesome article — short and sweet! I agree with your comment about the importance of finding ways for small businesses to build visibility in their communities. However, mine is an ecommerce/online community — any suggestions for me?

Hi Tisa,

Online you can find a non-profit or two that you want to support and interact with them. Facebook and twitter are great tools for that. You can post your support and link to their social media. You can include them in your blog and you can give a percent of your profits to one of them. I suggest you do some research and see who you want to support. Then I would contact them and let them know that you would like to support them. Try to meet several of the officers or board members via phone, skype, LinkedIn, Facebook etc. Engage in conversation with them. They will become part of your network and you can support their organization. If you would like to discuss some strategies, I would be happy to give you a free 30 minute phone coaching session around this. Just let me know.

Alice
